The seed that created Baanyan Tree was born out of the simple desire to tell stories. Since 1998, Sumit and Seema, alumnae of Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Delhi, have been narrating stories of path breakers in various fields using the audio visual medium. Their pioneering film work in revolutionary behavior change communication has won multiple awards such as the India Tele Awards 2004, Radio Mirchi Kaan Awards 2004, Best Animation for Asian Television Awards Singapore 2006, Cine Mela Award for best documentary 2007 and the Cartoon on the Bay Pulcinella Award 2008. From its documentary film making roots, Baanyan Tree Productions has evolved into a communications agency which provides end to end creative solutions for feature films, documentaries, corporate films, Animations, on line Contents etc…
